It's hard to believe it's been two years since Tico, the first confidential meme coin on Beam, took flight on the Beam blockchain. Since then, Tico has become a beloved fixture in the Beam community, known for its fun and lighthearted bird-loving, tip-giving and envelope-catching approach to cryptocurrencies. 🐦
But Tico is more than just a fun meme coin. It's a testament to the power of community and innovation on the Beam blockchain. Despite the challenges of the past year, including a bear market that has affected us all, Tico has continued to thrive and evolve, one bird-picture tip at a time. ✨
Indeed, one of the key reasons for Tico's success is its dedicated community. From the early days of the coin's launch, the Tico community has been active and engaged, sharing beautiful bird pictures and funny avian videos, participating in contests, and rewarding and supporting each other with Tico tips and envelopes. 💸
But Tico is more than just a group of enthusiasts. It's also a testing ground for new ideas and innovations on the Beam blockchain. Tico has always been at the forefront of experimentation on Beam, and this spirit of innovation has helped drive the coin's success. 🛠
In the coming weeks and months, Tico will be launching several new initiatives that will take the coin to the next level. These include a new website (at last!) and a submission to be listed on CoinGecko! 🎉
There will also be a community vote to decide on the fate of abandoned Tico coins (coins held in the Beam Butler Telegram bot, but whose owner's accounts have been deleted and don't exist anymore). The vote will be held using the BeamX DAO voting DApp, and will be a major milestone in the development of Tico's governance and decision-making processes. 🗳
And that's not all! Following that vote, Tico will be launching a new burn smart contract 🔥, with a user-friendly DApp, which will allow burning Tico coins in a secure and transparent way. This user-friendly use of the blockchain’s “blackhole” is a new development for the whole Beam ecosystem, and will provide a valuable tool for other confidential assets on the blockchain.
As Tico looks to the future, it's clear that the coin has a bright and exciting road ahead. With its dedicated community, innovative spirit, and commitment to fun, lightheartedness and bird-loving generosity, Tico is poised to continue thriving and evolving! 😍
